"Volfied" : one million points "trick"

I've watched some videos where you could see people getting one million points at the end of a level instead of standard bonus based on filled area, but I haven't been able to figure out what had to be done 
Since MAWS is down and I can't find a description of this "trick", can someone help me and tell me what I'm supposed to do ?

Well, no.
It's actually triggered by completing the stage in the first draw of that stage (80%), which means you capture the boss in that one draw. I just did it in MAME, just have to wait out the right moment when they pause near a corner.

Thanks for the info ! But do you think you might also get this bonus if you've filled less than 1% first before ending the level ? Look at the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwSkh-U5a18) at 3:47 (round 6) and look at what the guy has done ...
BTW, does this "trick" work with both (Japan) new and old set ? With all "Difficulty" settings ? This looks like silly questions, but their answers might help me when I look at the games M68000 code to understand how such thing can be done ...

The 80% thing was just what I read about it from another youtube video which shows him getting 99.8-99.9 coverage nearly every stage:

I haven't done much testing beyond doing what it said, as it triggered it for me. They may very well be more conditions I triggered. I only tried it with the "volfied" parent set with current MAME default settings.
