California speed won't load

just updated mameui to latest version,all other roms\chd works fines,californsia speed complains that the chd files and that the other to file inside the zip files are not present which is BS,since it always ran fine with previous mame versions,and the files and chd are all in the same positions as they were before.ROM set is up to date as well as other chds.any help?

Works for me. If it says you have missing files, you probably do. Or perhaps a path isn't correct.

for some strange reason,it works if i extact the content of the zipped rom file inside the chd folder.all the other chd games never did\don't have this error.strange..

There are some archivers out there that can create ZIP files that MAME can't handle. I believe 7zip is one culprit. Try extracting the ROMset and re-zipping it using Windows' built-in ZIP support.

I use ZipMax along with 7-Zip to recompress my ROMs and have never had a problem.

The plural of "anecdote" is not "data" ;-) We have proven repeatedly that 7zip under unknown conditions will sometimes create zip files that Info-Zip based unzip programs (MAME, most other emulators, command-line unzip.exe) cannot handle properly but which 7zip itself can extract safetly.
