Anyone having problems getting SWTOR to run?
#271687 - 12/29/11 03:36 AM

Son pre-ordered back in October ($64 US) got it last week, 2+ hours to install, plus daily download/updates, plus $15/month to play (no free month trial) and locks up half way thru some loading screen (during the "Epilogue" screen, the meter stalls below the word "peace"..as in POS). He's heard from others with same prob, and been on the phone with support who had us send three different log files...no solution yet.

My son's been playing it for a couple days now and doesn't seem to have any issues. He's running it on a new PC with Win 7 Pro that he got for xmas, dunno if that's got something to do with it.

For $64, you should get 3 free months. I'd never buy a game with an ongoing fee, even if there wasn't an EA logo on the box.

Not that it helps you, but that game that has the word "scrolls" in the title apparently crashes at launch if the sound settings are too high.
