ZSNES - Is it still being developed? Will v2.0 ever be released?

Is the Super Nintendo emulator, ZSNES, still being developed? Last I heard of ZSNES being worked on was in the year 2008. I heard rumors that they were working on it so they can finally release version 2.0. So is ZSNES still being developed or have they given up on it?
(I know Bsnes & Snes9X are better SNES emulators, but that has nothing to do with why I'm asking this question.)

I don't use MESS. I think MESS is a great project and maybe years down the road I'll use it, but at the moment and near future, I prefer not to.
I'm just curious if anyone knows any information regarding my original post.

development is (very) slow but active

nah, I wouldn't want to pester the devs. I was just curious what's up with the emulator. Reading the ZSNES forum satisfies my curiousities.
