Anyone ever replace a thermostat on a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus?
#270872 - 12/14/11 12:12 AM

I'm going to be changing oil and such on my kids' car this weekend. There is no heat coming out of the damn thing. Radiator is full of fluid, so it's not that.

I've read that it's on the bottom hose of the radiator, but others claim it's on top. On top, I don't see any hose going into the block.

The thermostat on your cirrus is located at the end of your lower radiator hose where it attaches to the engine. It has a three bolt mounting at the outlet.I am just getting ready to change mine..hope this helps...

Are you sure the thermostat is bad? No heat could also mean an obstructed heater core or a broken blend door.

No, I'm not sure. But a $12 thermostat is a cheap effort before getting involved in heater cores and other things.

update you after this saturday.

Is that the god-awful motor where the plenum needs to be removed to change the spark plugs, or was that the 2.3? Mother Mopar had some really shitty motor designs in the mid 90's...
