Ok as a long-time mame user and forum member this is quite embarrassing. What exactly is MAMEINFO and/or DAT files? Why do we need them? I use MAMEUI just by itself, am I missing something?
Thanks ha, J

Mameinfo.dat and history.dat show information and history about the selected game in the MAMEUI GUI. Maybe you don't have the right side pane on where the flyers, screenshots, etc is shown? It would be displayed in that area.

More info for the Tank Girl entry on the last page of your movies section. There's a few arcade machines in the film during the scene where Lori Petty and Naomi Watts meet Ice-T and the other Rippers.

p.s. Might not want to view the clip at work.

What exactly is the point of documenting what movies have Arcade cabs in them?
You do realize there are XXX with Arcade cabs in them as well

> What exactly is the point of documenting what movies have Arcade cabs in them?
Sometimes you can see games not yet emulated in them, and use it as reference material when working on your emulation. Pretty rare for this anymore tho, but in the early days...
Also, sometimes you can see games that are difficult to emulate perfectly, like old discrete circuitry games (thinking of "Killer Shark", "Computer Space" and "Wild Cycle" in JAWS...). That could REALLY come in handy as reference material, many of these games are incredibly rare and starting to die. (*gregf-bait* )
> You do realize there are XXX with Arcade cabs in them as well
... if Andrew can't name any, I'd be sadly disappointed. But you should contribute the ones you know.
