help: CHD, disk region = multisession ?

hi all,
I need some help. I found some games with a new region type: "multisession". can anyone please tell me what kind of disc is it ?
game: drmn4m
driver: ksys573.c
title: DrumMania 4th Mix (G*A25 VER. JAA)
...
disk name = "a25jba02" sha1 = "5f4aae359da610352c1004cfa1a32064d8f55d0e" region ="multisession"

Could be because there are two images required for those titles (rather than one). Not knowing the hardware, I can't explain why, but it seems only the later Drum Mania stuff (4-10) requires this type of CHD setup.
