I've always thought that a celebrity phone call would be incredibly awkward. You say, "Hey, I'm a big fan, I love your movies/music/whatever", he says thank you and then... awkward silence. I guess it just takes a different personality than mine to enjoy something like that.

Why would there be awkward silence? Nobody has anything to say? I can think of lots of things from either side. I don't know/get what you're talking about.

Exactly... different personality. In situations like that I become incredibly self conscious, my brain seizes up, and awkward silence ensues. At best, he would have to carry the conversation while I lamely try to hold up my end.
