all of the alignment dates had big-news earthquakes. coupled with all the hoopla of the iris IR stuff... ugh... just doesn't add up. i'd love to hear your rebuttals so i can sleep easy.

In order to have more effect than the moon, it would need to be about 10000 times as massive as the moon when it makes its closest approach in October. If any of what he said was true, and the alignment were boosting the effects, the whole planet would be ripped apart whenever there was an eclipse.
after reading more amateur astronomers sites, its a comet. i dunno why its my job to freak out and have to research all these conspiracies. i was thinking the ir graphs of it coming from leo were its actual size when it's the coma.
Well, August 17th came and went without a major problem. Let's hope this fucker is 100% wrong! Weird thing about going to Google.com/sky and looking for that winged object in infrared mode. There is something showing up. I don't think it is winged, but what the hell is it?

Pretend for a moment he's correct. WTF are we insignificant humans supposed to do about the planets aligning? About a comet? About earthquakes or volcanoes? Even if you knew ahead of time about all of this stuff supposedly happening all at once, or in rapid succession, what really can you do? hide in a bomb shelter for hundreds of years?

Ideally, you would stow away on board a TARDIS. If that's not an option, you could use an electronic thumb to flag down a passing ship, and just hope to hell it's not Vogons.
