Longshot request, does anyone remember this rock station commercial from the late 70s or early 80s:
It was animated, and everything was represented by bright colorful glowing lines on a black background, kinda like the way a neon sign looks. There was a pegasus flying around at some point, and lightning bolts, and then at the end there's a guy that reminds me of Zeus or Thor, who grabs a lightning bolt in each hand, swings his arms around and smashes his fists together. All this done in that neon-y look.
I think this was a stock commercial that radio stations could purchase and add their own voiceovers and logos to, as I recall seeing it represent at least two rock stations in the New York/Long Island area. IIRC it was shown in a theater while waiting for one of those midnight movie showings, Rocky Horror or Heavy Metal or some such.
Ring any bells guys? I really want to track this down and see it again.
Dude, that is it!! You are my freakin' HERO! Thank you!!
Apparently I was a little fuzzy on the details, but as soon as I saw the spaceships in the beginning, I recognized it. I think perhaps that I was confusing the pegasus with this Steve Miller Band commercial, which also has cool animation:
Here are two other animated commercials I remember thinking were really cool back in the early 80's....they still ARE cool....would love to see stuff like this on TV nowadays....
