Pulled a muscle in my shoulder............

..........while having sex. How messed up is that? I felt the knot in my upper back as we got going, but after getting fully into it, the pain basically stopped everything cold. The worst part was the explanation to the doctor who prescribed medication that has basically knocked me unconcious the past few days. Thankfully, the lady I was with found a way to make both of us happy without causing further pain. (What has sucked the most is that any type of deep breath has really been a horrific pain for me).
After seeing a doctor, it turns out that I severely strained my Rhomboid Major muscle on the left side of my back. This is the muscle that pulls your shoulder blade inwards towards the other shoulder blade in your back. I'm assuming this injury occurred during the........... ummmmm............... "most pleasurable" moment of the night. Sadly, the fight between the great pleasure and the great pain was won by the pain. The funny part was trying to tell the story to the doctor.
I am now on some muscle relaxers that literally knock me out. Stronger than a typical muscle relaxer like Flexeril. Whatever this stuff is, when I take one I feel like I'm completely drunk out of my mind. It's a frightening experience. Deal with the pain, or feel completely friggen wasted the entire time. Since you can tell by my nearly 3:00 A.M. posting, I've decided to deal with the pain today. Right now, I don't want to deal with the drunken feeling this stuff is causing. If I decide to finally go to bed, at least I know I can take one of them and I'll be out like a light.

damn that sucks dude. i'm assuming you were resting a good bit of weight on your left elbow for this to happen.

I got a cramp in my hand earlier while I was rubbing one out. Took a couple of Advil and finished the job. Just sayin'.

Same thing happened to me a month after I got married. Tried to deal with the pain for a couple of days... couldn't sleep, couldn't sit comfortably... hell, it hurt to do anything (like you said, even breath heavily). My wife said I was walking around with the posture of Larry King.
Went to the doctor and his reply, "Oh, you'll be fine. Take some Aspirin."

At least you have good pain killers. It took 3 weeks for me to be totally pain free.

Pain went away yesterday, finally. I didn't really get pain-killers. I ended up getting super-duper strong muscle relaxers. The day after I made the first post, I went and put a frozen pizza in the oven for dinner. Then took a couple of the muscle relaxers. Woke up 8 hours later with the smell of burned pizza throughout the house. Heh. I guess you shouldn't cook those things for 8 hours. Amazed that a ton of smoke wasn't created to set the smoke detector off.

The smoke detector probably did go off. You slept through it!

HA! Good point. I was out like a light. The smell of burned tomato and pepperoni pizza was pretty nasty for a few days. It literally all turned to carbon. Nothing left.

I'VE BEEN ORCED!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel so special........... and not in a "needs a helmet" kind of way. Although, yeah, I think I do need a helmet. I just drooled on myself. Uh-oh. I think I made a fudgie...
Nope. Turns out I just found out where that kit-kat I lost went.
