Untapped resource?
#261315 - 08/03/11 02:25 AM

1776-2008 (235 years) National debt accumulation: 10 Trillion
2008-2011 (3 years) National debt accumulatione: 6 Trillion

1776-2008 (235 years) National debt as % of GDP: 40%
2008-2011 (3 years) National debt as % of GDP: 110%

2008 campaign funds raised by presidential candidates alone 5.3 billion
2008 campaign funds raised in all races combined: estimated over a trillion.

Taxes paid on that estimated trillion dollars raised by politicians' political organizations: zero.

They caused the problem... but they don't contribute to its solution. Just sayin'.

Don't worry the world ends in 2012 and the politicians go first.

Yes but aren't those campaign fund also spent on products and services from domestic companies such as badges, banners, vehicles, fuel, TV and radio ad campaigns as well as providing employment to campaign staff?

No, they actually just send all of the campaign contributions straight to China.
