Looking for the names of two games late 70s/early 80s

Hi folks,
As in the title I am searching for the names of two games I played in my very early days.
I would appreciate it if any of you can identify them for me.
1) 1-player Platform similar to Burger Time but no Burgers. You were chased by aliens(?). You could dig holes in the platforms to trap them but then had to get back there quick enough to bash them down through the hole to kill them otherwise they climbed out and were quicker and nastier than before.
2) Sideways scroller 1-player or 2-player in co-operation mode. You had to punch enemies out of the way. I cannot remember if later levels and power-ups gave you the ability to shoot them. I thnink not. What does stick in my head is one level along a train track. You could run along the ground or jump up onto or down from the train.

Unfortunately not.
Late 1983 would be the latest date it could be.
Charachters were possibly ninjas if that helps at all.
On the train level, the top of the train would have been about mid-screen.

That's extremely unlikely given the description. Side-scrolling platformers basically started with the original Super Mario Bros. in 1985, and Final Fight-style beat-em-ups were a few years later than that.
