Thanks to work, I got to spend an entire week in Rome a few years ago. Saw every single site you could see thanks to it being "culture week" and every normally pay-to-enter site being free. Amazing. I sadly did not see a sports show like that one. Still, Rome has been my most favorite place to visit. I just finished off the bottle of Roman Olive Oil that I purchased at a store there off of the normal tourist path. Best stuff I've ever had. I snuck back a HUGE wheel of Parmesean cheese that I still have a huge amount left. Nothing here in the states tastes like that. So damned good. I've been to Prague, London, Lisbon, Brussels, and Rome in my travels due to work. Rome will always be my favorite place to have seen. (I've turned down trips to Mumbai, Shanghai, and Tokyo for various reasons).
