Dude, the 80s was the pinnacle of pop culture. The Arts had reached a similar zenith a decade or two earlier. Americans are in denial, and those in third-world countries, as has always been the case, wanting their chance to eat pie, too, are just losing their virginity.
It may require a Singularity to get people out of this funk. Of course, they may no longer be people, and then I'll really have others to play with....gosh, aren't I selfish....

That was good - Weird Al IS awesome and I quite like the original of that song so it was all good for me My favourite Lady Gaga parody is still this though:
