AGEMAME - Some progress
#257763 - 06/18/11 04:29 PM

I hate plugging my own efforts, but this has been a long time coming - it'll probably take a couple of u releases to get all the code in needed to make all this work, but here's The Mating Game, finally running as it should.
Please be advised, while there is nothing NSFW in this, anyone offended by dancing birth control methods (with realistic sounds) and semi-clad people should probably not play the video.

That is truly bizarre, and doesn't really look like much fun.

It's basically a minigame collection/ quiz game for bars, sort of like Touchmaster but with an overarching maze game mechanic, other delights include climbing up drainpipes, a shooting gallery and a weird missing letters puzzle where you have to complete the names above two people driving a car. I basically lost patience after the noughts and crosses game, since I only really wanted to show people the bonus round to prove it was as bizarre as some were saying. Certainly it's not brilliant, but my inbox showed that people wanted it doing - and the stuff that was causing it to crash was the same thing that stopped sound working in MPU4.

FYI: it's not your machine, the emulation is clearly running 100% (no sound breakup) but the game animates in slow motion. UK peeps indicate it's not meant to be that way, so you still have some emulation work to do

The game still a little slow on the mouse move.

That doesn't surprise me re: the animation (the SCN2674 video hardware creates one big raster effect), but I can't get above 60% speed on this PC anyway (a fairly cheap and nasty Athlon X2) so I don't see fluidity even in the really simple quizzes.

Anyway, I'll package up what I've got and submit it, better slow-motion than no motion

Try to use save states + -aviwrite, that should give you full speed indications.
