What does this mean?

"MAMEUI is currently in maintenance mode with no active development."

Thanks

Nice one, thanks AnimalBear! It's nice to see what all the options do.
Do you think you'd be able to put this up on a webpage somewhere?

That's too bad - the latest versions have the play time info nuked, and it looks like they won't be readded if no dev works on it.
I would've like to keep those statistics, in one way or another (there's some 6 years worth of data collected there).

You can easily add that function back but your load time will be a looooooooonnnng time for the GUI. Robbbert mentioned having a different idea on the ini files but I'm not sure if he has looked at it. If he wasn't half way around the world, I would bribe him with beer or prostitutes or something.

If you compile your own MAMEUI and want those functions added back in, it is very easy. In mui_opts.c, find the string...

static const options_entry perGameOptions[] =

Right below you will see several entries like "_play_count", "_play_time", etc. Just remove the "//" at the beginning of those two lines and compile.

EDIT: BTW, the play count is nothing more than how many times the game was launched from the GUI. Some games have a counter in the .cfg file that count how many "coins" were dropped. That is more useful to me.

Also, if you are using savestates, the uptime is also recorded. Hit the TAB key in-game and look at Bookkeeping.

GameEX frontend keeps statistics as well. You might wanna consider seeing if you can transfer this data to GameEX and then it will easily keep track of times played etc.

Sadly, I don't have the ability to compile MAMEUI myself. Oh well, here's hoping they'll be readded one day, and that it'll be possible to import the old stats.

If you can run MAMEUI, you can compile it. It really is very easy to do.
