A little driving game called Dirt 3... :-/
#256426 - 06/03/11 04:16 PM

The last system I bought was a Sega Dreamcast. This game could very well get me back into consoles.

I had a blast with Dirt 1 and Dirt 2, so I went and bought Dirt 3 the day of release (for the 360).

I've only played it about 45 minutes, though. The game freezes after every other race. I took the game back to the store, thinking the disc was bad, but that didn't fix the issue.

The Codemasters tech forum is filled with complaints about game freezes. Gamers are also complaining over at GameFaqs and at XBox.com.

Currently in the middle of an e-mail exchange between myself and tech support. Would love to get this sorted out so I can actually play it.

The PS3 is the only console I don't have rite now but after looking at
U.S. Navy Seals I'm considering buying one. I like the first games in the
series so I figure I would like this one too. ANyone here played it yet?

Sigh. I bought DiRT 1 & 2 for PC during Steam holiday sales, and I still haven't touched either...

That console had some great driving games. Wacky Races, Vanishing Point, Metropolis Street Racer, etc. That's the only system I actually bought a driving wheel for.

Wow, never heard of any of these. I'm kinda bummed that I missed out on the Dreamcast. I was pretty much a PC gaming snob at the time, any racer that didn't have a cockpit view was not interesting to me.
