I zip-tied a bar of Lavender soap to the front of the fan in my bedroom four days ago.

I originally did it to try to cover some of the burnt pizza smell (don't ask) that had pwned the entire house. Weird thing is, I've been sleeping like a baby since. And this is someone who's had insomnia for the past couple of decades... I think I stumbled across some vodoo magic.
Cost a dollar. Hells yeah.

You know what lavender does to hormones, yes?

Not to get overly scientific, but the hormone suppression effect of lavender is probably actually the reason for the better sleep. Most male hormones are "agitants" by nature - hence "roid-rage", etc. So it would make sense that suppressing male hormones would tend to "relax" people.
I might take this in spurts though, so as to avoid any long term effects...especially if you suddenly start to like track lighting, or find wine coolers tastier than normal, etc.

Somehow, I think the amount of lavender oil you're inhaling from a bar of soap zip tied to a fan is pretty minimal.
Plus, aavada is presumably past puberty. (I assume pretty much everyone here, except Naoki , is)

Despite the implied overtones of my question, I did actually mean that there was probably no personal hazard there. Just practicing some fear-mongery with the first post, too. (Oh stop, that should totally be a word.) ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)
Now, if that soap is anywhere near a young child, that's another matter.

The next step in emasculation is the use of bath salts.

HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH.
In any case, I've had some exposure to things such as these and retained the ability to mightily slag a wench for three hours. Did it last night, matter of fact.
