Why is mame plus so slow ?
I tried Espgaluda with automatic frameskip.
Mame 64 = 0 frames skip with 100% all the time
Mame Plus = 5/10 frames skip during the entire game.

You have something configured differently in MAME Plus. Make sure all the video options are matching, like if D3D is on in MAMEUI64, turn it on for MAMEPlus too.

MAME+ is 32bit (version I posted), MAMEUI64 is.. 64 bit ! ![](//www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif) Not sure if it can change that much from a 32bit to a 64bit build..
Anyway try also MAME+64, was compiled and posted on mameworld's mameplus forum.. Regards, MAMu_

humm, I was compairing Mame 64 dos with Mame plus 64,
I compiled both myself with 64bits and dual-core optimisations.
I also put both .exe in the same folder using the same mame.ini
The only difference is I'm using HQX3bold filter with mame plus..... does this filter really takes twice more processing power?

The simple answer yes.. all filters take varying amount of extra processor time to display it's effect.

there is no MAME64 for DOS. official MAME is command-line driven, but it has nothing to do with DOS.

That's very true. I would have written the same thing.
