Video of the tornado rolling through Lambert Feild
#252733 - 04/24/11 09:17 AM

Initial reports have it at an EF4, with 170-200mph winds.

It's Lambert - St.Louis International Airport, not Field. It has been paved for many years (at least until the tornado ate the pavement all up) LOL.

Two super cells came together at the same time north and south of Saint Louis. That shit was coming my way. I live almost exactly 25 miles east of Lambert. Luckily for me, I was in the middle of the storms. One cell went to the north of me and one cell went to the south of me. I feel bad for the people that live in the 750 homes that got damaged (about 100 cannot be occupied). Italie, they need your building skilz! Thank God nobody was killed!

Sorry, old habits. Lots of old aviation buffs in the family that still refer to O'hare as orchard field to...

Yeah, EF4 is no joke. Lots of lucky people considering. I hear cleanup volunteering is plentiful, good to hear.

My favorite is how none of the stupid people found the situation panic-able ~until~ he yelled. My kids would have been yanked from the windows @ horizontal rain.

Otherwise, I think it's funny how the panic behavior didn't cue till they were told to move. Dumh-da-dumh-da-dumh, duhm.

Consider it high comedy....sincere tragedy....whatever...don't take it personally.

I was a bit surprised that the emergency warning wasn't made via PA; rather it was by loud fat man.
