it works for me.
oh, sorting does NOT work on grouped view anymore. that goes against what grouped view mode is all about!!!!

what is grouped mode? i use standard view mode (see the screenshot is previous post).

What does "Left Panel Filters" do? I click on it. All it does is go in and out.

left panel is the same as "folders" in MAMEUI. you can create custom filters that are not available in EL's main tool bar buttons.
you can copy .ini files from MAMEUI "folders" directory into EL and use it.
just enable it at tool bar buttons, and select filter in the new panel, left side of games list.

you are in grouped view mode.
the thing is, you have all the buttons in the filters tool bar buttons hidden, specially the view mode button (first button). mouse right-click on the tool bar and show the other filter buttons).
I'm thinking on removing the possibility of hiding filter buttons on the tool bar. and this is one fine example why I should remove this feature.

LOL, do you think i'm an idiot? i'm in STANDARD view mode. i just enabled all buttons and i see, i'm in standard view mode.

ok. you're saying that if you click on the column, it doesn't sort correctly ?
because every time I click on a column, games get sorted, including with "version added" column.
what catver.ini file are you using ? I'm using the one from the Project EMMA: http://www.progettoemma.net/history/catlist.php
EL does not save/restore the last sorted column at startup anymore.
what OS are you using ? themes are disabled ? EL might not work very well with themes disabled.
post a copy of your "EmuLoader.ini" file here, please.

yeah, themes are disabled. i use classic view.

I tested and I simply cannot reproduce the bug 
have you tried a clean install ?
you can get the full binary pack and make a clean install on another folder, leaving your current EL installation intact. try sorting the list with frontend's default settings before customizing it.
have you tried to re-download catver.ini and replace the one you have ?
I find the english version missing a lot of games. the italian version is complete.
also, before the clean install, try the attached binary, along with a screenshot of my EL install, using your EmuLoader.ini
there has to be something else. do you get this bug with the Windows 7 Aero Glass theme too ?
I tested EL on my sister's laptop, Core2Duo, Win7 Home Premium 64-bit and columns sort is fine too.

why? my current catver.ini is okay.

english version doesn't miss any games. that was before 0.141u2.

tried the new .exe. the result is the same. Version Added and # of Players columns sorting doesn't work.

sorry, i won't change my windows setup just to make EL work.
thanks for trying, i think i can live with those columns not sorting correctly in EL.

again, I'm really sorry this is happening to you.
I don't know what is going on since the code to sort the list is in the right place.
I set the laptops's theme to Win7 standard, and the error still doens't pop up. (laptop use Win7 Ultimate 64-bit).

I noticed column sort breakage too. Also, could you confirm (and fix) a gamelist scroll speed regression when using the mouse scrollwheel?
I have a mouse with frictionless scrollwheel and it seems there's a speed limit now. :P

speed limit ? maybe on WinXP.
actually, I was having problems with mouse wheel scrolling with the old "Virtual TreeView" component (used to be standard/grouped view modes).
the current impoementation works a lot faster on Win7 than on WinXP, that I can tell you.
I don't know what could be fixed as the Delphi component used to show games list already have support for mouse wheel scroll.
I'll ask the component's author about this.

Win7 64-bit here. The problem is similar to the history/mameinfo.dat editbox mousewheel scroll annoyance I reported about earlier, it's as if the components are choking on an overload of WM_MOUSEWHEEL messages.

or maybe it's due to the old compiler, Delphi 7.
I know Delphi XE (2011) has proper support for mouse wheel but this compiler is way to expensive for me (I got Delphi 7 for a very cheap price).
But I'll look into it. See if there's anything to be done about the wheel scroll.
