Can I just confirm that the player character in Dragon Age 1 does not actually speak, compared to the counterpart in Mass Effect 1/2? It was kind of surprising to me in a way, after spending several weeks with Commander Shepherd, finding out my DA character was effectively mute.

What about DA2?

Mute in the first game (other than battle cries); fully voiced in the sequel.
