Damn I loed my Mega CD, but both ribbon cables inside tore and a capacitor snapped off. It boots, but no animation..

...replace the cables and the cap?

Always enjoyed the Sega CD. In fact, I played through Night Trap just a few weeks ago. Excited to see the work on the MegaCD/SegaCD drivers in MESS.

When I have the money and know where to buy the parts. It's not a standard cap, it's one of the smaller surface mounted ones, plus I don't know the specs of it.
There's a whole heap of problems wth my model 1 Mega Drive and Mega CD I gave up hope of fixing them.

I never owned a Genesis (and therefore no Sega CD) but I really thought about getting the Sega CDX. It was just way too expensive ($300 or something like that) and I didn't know that much about Sega CD games other than what I played at a friend's house.
