Meadows Flim Flam related pong talk
#247137 - 02/22/11 01:23 AM Attachment: pongenterprisesid.jpeg 44 KB (2 downloads)

iirc A couple years ago, someone had mentioned on MAME Chat forum about a pong version that was from a company in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada). There was a question or two and nothing else after that.

I had recently noticed an advertisement of this for sale. It's made by a company Pong Enterprises Ltd. and while it doesn't have any marketing name, it is labeled as "Model 320" cocktail table. If this company or game isn't listed on Arcade-History web site yet, maybe it will be later. ;-)

I grabbed photos already. If this pcb, is exactly like Flim Flam pcb, it should not have any proms needing to be dumped and is all ttl chips.

To correct a couple things, this is nowhere near any involvement with Atari...but by chance before Meadows Flim Flam was marketed there was another similar cocktail table game called Tournament Time II that does have paperwork with Atari printed on the paperwork (photo on Discrete Logistics web site). My guess is Tournament Time II was to be marketed for Atari and I guess Tournament Time II was repackaged and sold later as Flim Flam and marketed by Meadows. Not confirmed and who knows if old Play Meter magazines or trade magazines from 1974/1975 years would have any specific industry trade articles regarding business and company transactions from that era.

The other part is the real value price should be more likely around $350 - $600 range because it is not a highly sought after collectable. Asking $1000 is partially pipe dream unless previous owner of the game was Michael Jackson.

Back during 1970s, I recall seeing a few Flim Flam cocktail tables compared to the upright version of Flim Flam.

So....what would Pong Enterprises Ltd. "Model 320" gameplay look like. Here are a couple video clips of the game play in action of Meadows Flim Flam.

Another owner has a non-working table of Flim Flam and also asks a couple repair questions in order to repair the game. I know I have paperwork for Flim Flam cocktail table although Cassidy did provide useful answers on the Atari Age forum for starters.

The most informative post on that forum is from Cassidy.
