Supposedly the theme is somehow tied to the Chinese year of the golden pig but who knows where they have taken it. It's coming out in a few days bundled with Pink Sweets / ported to XBox360.

Maybe that will finally explain why during the intermission after defeating a level boss the girl's skirt is blowing up in the wind so you can see her panties. The first time I saw this I had a total WTF? expression on my face.
