Is that donated or bought? I have a system 246 and would be interested in buying when you finish with it.

No, it was the last 2D fighting game Capcom released for arcades before giving up the fighting genre for a while (a period from there till Street Fighter IV i believe). They were thought times which came for their fans.
SNK Playmore quality had decreased (even more), the success for their new games on the then new platform Atomiswave didn't work as planned. In fact I think I'm lucky to have seen an original Atomiswave cabinet because they were really rare (and expensive), most of them are converted to MAME machines today. Capcom gave the last stab with Capcom Fighting Jam and any hope for a new Marvel vs. Capcom sequel was completely lost (who would have know?). There were still successful 2D fighting game series after that (who doesn't know Guilty Gear or Rumble Fish?) but they weren't as popular into the genre as a Capcom game used to be.
With the improvement of console ports and implementation of online technologies (there was something rare and novel among consoles on broadband called XBOX LIve), many games reached the quality an arcade could offer and gave the availability to play against anyone without leaving home. This as you know gave path to dance pad games gain more popularity and make the then predominant fighting genre to slow down gradually. Many arcades places who couldn't keep up with the expensive dance machines and the few income from arcade cabinets closed eventually, arcade was not a good business anymore.
Sorry for the long reply, but this really brings some bad memories. Still it's great to see a game i have never seen preserved. Now that i have a first generation XBOX may as well get the port too.

its a good game on tis own,but can't help feel that it might have been something much better.i mean MUCH more than that.look at neogeo battle coliseum:that's a good game for fanservice, whith nostalgia written all over it.it had its flaws,no ending sequence etc,but the character roster was one of the best IMO,while CFJ roster was abysmal(again,IMO).
