Synopsis: A refugee from a destroyed country becomes a teacher in Japan in order to recruit schoolchildren to fight against the occupiers of his homeland. Meanwhile he pursues a secret, illicit romance with one of those schoolchildren, a naive and trusting 14-year-old girl.
I’m convinced Mario is a hobo.
He wakes up everyday in the same clothes, runs around in sewers, and collects coins for a living.
At the end of the day, he uses the coins to buy mushrooms
While international otakus use to differ them that way it's the same. In fact "Tom & Jerry" and "SpongeBob SquarePants" are アニメ (anime) in Japan.
Mhh, synopsis is though... it could be anyone. Children controlling giant robots (assuming there must be giant robots) it's the predominant genre next to the "harem" one (a common guy involved in comical situations with a group of voluptuous girls with a crush on him). I haven't seen anime in a while, but apparently tastes haven't changed so much since 10 or more years ago.
Talking about SpongeBob in Japan, have you heard Plankton's voice? It's freaking hilarious.
Also, one of the obligatory fluffy mascots, when first introduced, is a tramp who lives by pretending to be a stuffed toy and stealing food from people who take her home
I thought maybe one of the Italians here might recognize it, if you have a little girl...
> > Mhh, synopsis is though... it could be anyone. > > I think this is what krick meant, actually.
Yeah, I was just making a joke that the original plot synopsis sounds like the plot for EVERY anime feature. The only thing missing from the description was a demon with rape-tentacles and/or multiple penises.
