MAMEWorld Forums - The Loony Bin - Spammed by a tl;dr message...

No the guy does not have a clue what he is talking about.

The exe he is using was test code. When I posted it I said the settings were not saved because it was only test code. Now he complains that they are not saved. He refuses to try 141u1 were the settings are saved.

He rants that I made core changes. Again incorrect. Only 720 driver changes were made in atarisy2.c. Again he refuses to read any of the forums he has been trolling or try 141u1.

The file size he mentions has do to compiler options. It is impossible for my 20 lines of code to increase MAME that way. Again showing his total lack of being able to understand anything.

He says my code does not stay aligned when you change between different type of controls. Neither does his. Well his sort of does because he ignores the center disc, but will desync after a few swappings. That is the way the game operates. It does not expect you to keep swapping controls in real time. Heck, he even ignores that fact that the real control has a centering disc. I simulate the center disc data so it works the same as the original so we can test the game with accurate port data.

He is being censored only due to continuing personal attacks. He refuses to submit any code that he says he has. If we are censoring him then why does he not post his code on his blog? He did post code on arcade controls that he said was leet and faster then mine. When I explained how it was slower and just a hack, he then said "Ha Ha, that was not my true code. I modified it to obfusticate it. My real code can not be given out due to censorship and goverment spies. Blah, blah, rant, rant."

Just to give you a glimpse of his thought process. On the MAMEworld forums, he said that the joystick hack was incorrectly doing math. He says the joystick port reads need to be modified by -127 instead of -128. The ports default to a value of 128 (0x80) when centered. 128-128=0. His way 128-127=1. He then says the MAME core is broken because when he then tests if the joystick is centered it is never 0. He refuses to understand that he did incorrect math and then blames the core for his error.

It is amazing that he has yet again manually mass spammed MAMEworld and Arcade Controls forum users. Why did he not show his code in this mass mailing? That way it would not be censored. It would be leaked for the world to see. Or post it on the blog. Or post in on the forums without personal attacks. Much easier to rant on about nothing.
