Dumping Union Event: The Shmupraiser /finished
#245103 - 01/31/11 01:24 AM

I guess I will firstly go ahead and announce a few things on the way since some are coming from Mexico and will take another 3 weeks or so to arrive. The Atomiswave game we ordered is Guilty Gear X 1.5. I also have a rare version of Street Fighter Alpha 3 on the way and a crazy rare Mega-Tech cart. I also have a lot of other games on the way, mostly coming from Japan that I paid mostly for out of pocket. Also I dumped those Sammy carts we got, they go to an old medal system called Treasure Fall. Luca is trying to emulate them. They are called Animal Catch, Itazura Monkey, Taihou de Doboon, Pye-nage Taikai and Hae Hae Ka Ka Ka.

Anyway, there is a very rare USA version of a rather good shmup game for sale but it's priced really high and I need some help getting it. I got a huge donation recently from Jred but I'm still short, so hoping to get some help and then if I don't get the full amount I'll cover the rest out of pocket I guess. I will share the game info with people in private messages.

Edit: OK, we raised enough for the game I mentioned and I have bought it, but another needed rare version of a shmup has come up for sale, and it's actually just as interesting as the previous one. Funny how things happen in succession like this... Anyway I am still working out the details on it and don't have a final price but my estimation leaves the amount below still needed for it. I will update the post later. Thanks to all the donators so far!

Amount left needed: ~$20 I can cover the rest myself. Thanks all for donating!

we need a visual pinball like app for the medal / pusher games. With a visual pinmame like link. Some of the coin games run on pinball hardware.

It's the version who has seem only in SALEX 1998 Brazilian event with Brazilian Portuguese texts and labeled and titled as Street Fighter Zero 3?

ok just out of curiosity... is the SFA3 version the "SAMPLE" version that got limited distribution before official release? It had quite a few gameplay differences in some of the characters compared to how they played in the final release versions, seeing it dumped would be way cool.

I wish it was. I wasn't even aware of its existence. You guys make me regret using the word "rare". Any game on CPS2 we haven't already dumped is rare, let me put it that way instead.

Haha oh well

But yeah I'm not sure how many of the "SAMPLE" versions were produced, I personally played on two different ones and heard of a place that had randomly gotten one a few hours from where I used to live (and this was long after the game came out, sometime around... 2003 or so). It was very odd because Capcom wasn't known for shipping unfinished games to arcades like Midway always did with the MK sequels (the SAMPLE version of SFA3 was missing character endings. I think this was a common occurence with location test versions).

Oh well, here's to hoping this version turns up somewhere, someday (I don't know the date it used on startup, all I know is that it had the word "SAMPLE" underneath the "USA" line)

They probably tried to retrieve them / swap for finished versions later.
