This is why I stick to guinness. It's semi-exotic, looks sexay, and it tastes like chocolate milk. Kinda like the Brook Burke of beer...

handcrafts are worth the risk of getting some odd ducks every now and again. if you haven't had anything you like better than guinness, boy did you stop exploring early.

I don't drink much anymore, but I've been around the brewery block. It's so few and far between now that I do, I just prefer consistency.

Have you had this yet? Just recently arrived in the States.

I did the same with the Sam Adams Triple Bock. I found it completely undrinkable. I guess I don't care much for "extreme beers."

Kind of pricey, isn't it? Hate to spend a lot on something I may not like.

That's too bad. I had a bottle of it on New Year's Eve. It's not something I'd drink every day, but I rather liked it. It really was more like champagne than beer, but you still had a little of the bitterness from the hops to give it a beer-like character.

Is it more like a Barley Wine? Every year the Great American Beer Festival comes to town and I usually go.
The barley wines pack a huge punch, and don't really taste much like beer even though it kind of looks like beer, and it's not for everyone. I'd enjoy one every now and again but for everyday beers I usually stick to lite beer.
