Post your newly discovered tool's that you can't live without.

Mine for today: backupmenu
http://www.my-maemo.com/software/applications.php?name=BackupMenu&fldAuto=1637&faq=42

...using GParted on my main machine to resize internal partitions on my N900 via USB is awesome.

EDIT: sry, this should've been in the bin...

Hmm maybe not 'new' but winmerge.

For free it is a decent file compare util.

http://winmerge.org/

Trying to find a decent tail util. Something that takes multiple log files and smashes them into 1 and marks the original source, with syntax highlighting, and realtime. Course I bet if I looked harder I could find one fairly quick

If it weren't for someone posting a screenshot here in MAME Chat about a SEGA ROM with only one byte different in contrast with its console cartridge counterpart, i would not find out about Beyond Compare 3. That was exactly what i've been looking for years. Now i can compare directories as windows folders, ISOs or compressed files; files as binary or text; overlap two images to visually check if they're the same; sync content to my USB pen drive or play two sound files at the same time to detect auditive differences.

Another tool i can't live without is Winmount. Not only i can mount ISOs, but also virtual disk images and compressed files without the need to extract its contents in a temporary folder. I can do something as complex as mounting a RAR file then mounting the ISO inside it to install software, though it may be slow in some cases but helps great when you need the image to be physically in a disc drive for verification purposes.

Overlapping images sounds very nice indeed.

Is it good for comparing registry exports for making reg hacks? - Might be handy for work if so...
