CLRMAME Help

Hello,
This is my first post in this forum, so hopefully I'm in the right area. I've been searching the web for nearly two weeks trying to figure out how to rebuild roms using clrmame. Basically I downloaded the new DAT version 1.4 file from the logicq website and I'm running version 1.4 of MAMEUI. I'm using a test folder with one rom (Street fighter 2 ce), with the intent of renaming/rebuilding so that it works with version 1.4 of MAMEUI. If anyone can point a noob in the right direction or offer some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

read various cmpro guides.

there is no MAMEUI 1.4. the latest version of MAMEUI is 0.140.1. and you don't need DAT for it. MAME/MAMEUI itself can be used as DAT in cmpro.

1) this is not the cmpro forum 2) you don't need an external 3rd party dat, Profiler->Create lets you import the data directly from your mame binary (which is 0.140) 3) now the question is: Do you really want to do a rebuild??? Normally people want to scan their collection. Rebuilder is only used when converting some folder with sets for a different loaded datfile (e.g. MAME to KAWAKS conversion), or if you want to add files to your existing collection.
The general quick rebuild guide:
- load a dat in profiler (or use the create option as mentioned above) - go to the rebuilder, select a destination folder and drag'n drop the set you want to rebuild into the window...that's it.
The general quick scanner guide:
- load a dat in profiler (or use the create option as mentioned above) - Settings, setup your romfolder(s) - scanner, hit new scan (optionally enable all fix options)...that's it.

Not a prediction, just a plea...
Please leave the NEO-GEO sets alone.....
To mis quote Mr Churchill..

The NeoGeo sets are a huge mess. Too much hacking an so on. Difficult to figure them all out.
