can't display in-game artwork in MAME 0.140

I'm trying to run Golly Ghost, which needs artwork to simulate the physical background of the original machine. I can't seem to get it to appear in the game though, the background is always blank black.
I've got the 4MB gollygho.zip artwork file. I've put it in the artwork directory, and checked for an 'enable artwork' setting, but can't seem to find it.
Video Options > Backdrops, Overlays, Bezels are all set to enabled.
What do I need to do to make the artwork display? I've googled around without luck, thanks.

Sounds like you've got a "pre 0.106" version of the artwork.

Hmm.... I re-downloaded the the zip from your link, and some of the files were indeed different, but the images still don't show up. In my artwork directory I've currently got the zip file, the files unzipped to gollygho/* and all the files extracted to artwork. Overkill, but no images.
I'm assuming I only need to have the zipfile in the artwork folder with the same filename as the rom. Is there a setting I'm missing?

Got it, had to select 'Upright Artwork' in the Video options.
