Look at the puzzle, the first word is _ ' _ _
With that free apostrophe, nothing else common fits there except I'VE
So if you 'have' something, the next word logically will be 'got' since 'have got' is a natural pair.
So now you have "I've Got", and the next blank again logically is 'A'
After that, it is clearly making the common phrase "I've got a wonderful feeling about this"... but wondferful doesn't fit... but good will. Run that through your head and you see the "L" she picked fits, so time to blurt it out and claim your prize. Had she not had the "L" to confirm the phrase, she might have hesitated, but probably would have come up with the same answer anayway... which THEN would have been an awesome feat having been given ZERO letters!!!
I think Wheel Of Fortune, with giving away that apostrophe, made this one a no-brainer.
Meh, let the pundits speculate, I'm sure lots of people watching got that one right along with her. Good for her for NOT having a brain fart on a good gimme.

I think that's just the power of hindsight making it look easy - she had to be pretty firmly in 'The Zone' too, I reckons!

Captain Hindsight: "Hey look! That puzzle's easy... see there... you should be able to tell what that says!"

wrong.
"I'll" fits there. It could have started out with "I'll eat a" or something like that. Hindsite certainly is NOT always 20/20 because you seem to be blinded by it.

Hindsite... I know I know. What do you call it when you don't read ahead.

She does already have the L when she solves it, so any other L is out. "I've" is what it needs to be.
The puzzles, especially the prize puzzles, as this one was, tend to fit a theme, and phrases are known quotes, things people actually say. Something like "I've got a warm gosling under here" just won't come up.
Further, anyone on the show should have been immersed in the game for quite a while beforehand, so they should be "in the zone."
