Namco games won't start - Galaga, etc.

So I have Mame running and configured and it works great with most games. But when I run certain Namco games such as Galaga, they won't actually start. They will coin up fine but when I press start they just sit there as if they are waiting for me to press start. Is this a known issue or something I've messed up? I tried looking for info about it but I haven't found it. I've had it happen in multiple versions of Mame though. Thanks.

No issues here. What versions of MAME has this been an issue in? Have you checked to see if your start key is set to the right keyboard button? Have you tried a completely fresh install that has new .nv files and everything?

Since most games work OK, default.cfg is probable OK. Try deleting cfg\galaga.cfg, etc for each game that is incorrect.
