What all is going to work when I connect a J-Pac to my Blitz 99 cabinet with 49-way sticks?
#236472 - 10/15/10 09:44 PM

I just bought a 4 player Blitz99 cabinet and I will be making a mame cabinet out of this. I just bought a j-pac and after some researching I am wondering what will work and what wont. Will the 49-way sticks work at all? What am I going to need to do?

I have a complete Blitz 99 contol panel that works great ready to go. Took it off and making a MAME control panel. Going to be selling on craigslist soon.

If the 49 way sticks are analogue you'll need an analogue interface afaik. Something like an A-Pac.

49-way joysticks aren't analog, but digital. I believe MAMETM treats them as analog devices?

If they're digital then a J-Pac should be fine.

Yes, the 49-way joystick uses six light sensors that are either on/off.
