even if you have programmer, that support this type of roms, major problem is what roms not only soldered to board, but also glued to it.
so it takes at least a few hours only to remove single chip from pcb.

Some other stuff from the thread needed to be moved so I put this here. I don't think most SSOP70 chips are glued but who knows.

Not sure, last I talked to him, he was having problems with them (SSOP70) like everyone else, so he must have just figured them out in the past few days.

clearly not you.
boards with smt parts on both sides have the bottom parts glued to the board so they dont fall off when they are wave-soldered. its very common. all of the Namco System 12 games are like that.
however they can be removed in about 10 seconds with the right approach

Can he? Of course! Will he? Hells no! For doing so might threaten his monopoly of the 'Most l33t dumper on the sk3n3' title and without that he's nothing!

I can't help but think I may have just done something quite irresonsible but can't think, for the life of me, what that might be... Hmmm...
