Virtual Atari 2600

http://www.virtualatari.org/

This is another cool site like the Virtual Apple II one.

I'm kind of surprised that both of those sites haven't been shut down yet.

(Can you imagine virtualnes.org? That site would last mere hours before the big N would get wind of it.)

EDIT- I stand corrected. There actually is a virtualnes.com website.

Other virtualx sites:
http://www.virtualgbx.com/
http://www.i-console.com/ (various systems)

On the one hand I appreciate how handy it is to have all this classic videogame entertainment right there in my browser. And it is kind of impressive to think of all that Java/Flash programming talent. But on the other hand I have to wonder if emulation isn't further endangered by such high-profile exposure.

You KNOW the Big N has a record of flattening perceived threats on intellectual property... But on the other hand, maybe Atari secretly relishes the retro tributes.
