Hello all,
I'm new to this forum and I have a very special problem. I own a real Hyperdrive machine from Midway, but it is broken. The Hardware seems to be ok, selftest without any error, but as it starts to boot from the harddisk it stops. I removed the disk and checked it on my PC - no data. I tried to write a chd file from the disk - error message from chdman (i'm using the so called chdman32 version). When I try to uncompress a hyprdriv.chd file to a disk it says wrong chdman version. Is there another chdman version which may work? What am I doing wrong?
Please help.
Sebastian.

What version of CHDMAN do you have? Type "chdman /?"
Maybe you need a newer version of chdman. You can get the latest version in this thread.
EDIT: Have a look here for more info on chdman.
Be careful not to overwrite the wrong drive!!!

Here comes the final result.
Reactivated the old HD.
Wrote the data with chdman v0.139 and the game is running again.
Thanks for your help!
Regards, Sebastian.
P.S. the hyprdriv.chd file I used seemed to be compressed from a 20GB HD. The original game has just a 2GB HD. Anyhow - it works.
