I'm hesitant to sign up for AOL-owned sites. I still believe they're a shady company from years of experience with the crowd they attracted back in the '90s.

Partial to brunettes here but I'll make an exception in Pixie's case. Forgot I posted that. She's 21 now.

Is it just me, or is the Web incredibly narcissistic these days? Create your about.me page so every knows everything about you, update your Facebook every five minutes so everyone knows what you're doing, tweet your every thought as it comes into your head, create a YouTube "video response" to every fucking thing so everyone can hear your opinion delivered sincerely into a webcam.

Does it ever occur to these people that no one else gives a shit?

Especially on America Online. ;-)

Did America Online finally lose the proprietary software or is it still spastically kickin' along to keep those pedophilia havens alive while claiming to be "The Internet"? I stopped keeping track around the year 2000.

Wikipedia says they still have their AOL software, but it doesn't specify if it's required to go online.

I'd rather have brunette if she's white, but then again, I'd rather stick with the Asian persuasion

The closest I got to AOL personally was my late uncle. He made the mistake of signing up for AOL dialup and wound up with huge local long distance phone bills. That and AOL's software was very unstable.

The good news? I got them off AOL and onto Salsgiver, Freeport PA's awesome little internet provider which has bloomed into a great communications provider in its own right. I was with Salsgiver since the early '90s and it never gave me problems. Always a rock-solid connection right in my own prefix.

Salsgiver rules! AOL drools, like its luserbase. ;-)

Or, should I say that local ISP's rock da house? :-)
