Hello,
I'm new here. 46 years old. Been a fan of Arcade games - epsecially pinball machines - since I was 4 years old. Now I have made me a MAME setup, with joystick and LED light. Powered by a 11 year old NUC Windows computer. Runs super.
Here's a tour of my setup (so far) : http://www.pionersoft.dk/jpg/MAMEsetup.mp4

Welcome to the madness.
Thinks are a lot less busy that they used to be back in the heady days of 2 decades ago, but still worth dropping by

MAME currently primarily supports video games, but also emulates the pcb hardware that is used with pinball tables. It is possible to run a pinball game and be able to listen to some of the sound effects that the pcb used with a pinball game plays, but pinball is not yet fully supported in MAME. Pinball was not supported when Nicola Salmoria originally started MAME in 1997. Over the years MAME has gone through various changes by different staff members in which policies have changed including support for devices aside from coinop video games that use ROMs. That’s why specific pcb hardware support for pinball table pcbs are supported these days.
To really play pinball games, you will want Visual PinMAME. Head over there if looking for actual coinop pinball gaming.
