And re-thinking my life choices. Got a (supposedly) USB 3.1 cradle to copy stuff from my hard drives... and it's a pretty slow process. I set my system to not fall asleep, but allowed it to turn off the monitor... and it seems if I walk away for too long, the HDD in the cradle is no longer recognized. So glad I had put my MAME library on an 8TB that's still in good shape. Only have a place for 2 3.5" drives in my case (and up to 4 M.2 drives on the MB).
First thing I did before finishing my build was to grab the latest (R23) Cinebench and run it. Then I did the same, before I even had the proper drivers installed to handle 3D cache, and O. M. G. I knew my CPU was old, but the difference is ridiculous.
Code:
i7 4790 7950X3d
Single Core 899 2017
Multi- Core 3957 35240
Yea... without all of the proper drivers installed yet, one of which lets the computer see and use (and figure out which software benefits from it?) the extra 3D-cache.

Of the benches I ran, the i7 4790 had SEVERAL that could not run at full speed, and some down to 12% or so. Now, the ONLY game in the list that I'm using, that doesn't hit at least 100% is starsldr at 81.85% (second run. Did 86% at first. Still installing stuff...)
And Pacman runs at 14773.46%... lol
