Hello,
So, when using HLSL on the latest version of MAME, it seems to have the graphics displayed twice. One on top of the other. You have to shrink the screen with the horizontal and vertical stretching to really notice it. I installed MAME into it's own folder to make sure some old settings weren't creating a problem. I posted a screenshot to show what I'm talking about. Does anyone know a fix for this?

I didn't get that, but with pacman the pink ghost is white, while the brown ghost has become yellow. The cyan ghost is a bit faded too.
I used the original HLSL via DirectX9 (the default video for Windows).
edit: I'd paste a snap, but they show correctly, I don't know how to apply HLSL to them.

Temporary workaround until I can PR a fix for 0.253:
- Open hlsl/distortion.fx - Search for the word "discard". - Replace "discard;" with "return float4(0, 0, 0, 1);" - Save the file
