So I went to fire up Jumpman in Atari 800 using MAME 251 and I get a message "This program required 32k memory" It worked fine in MAME 250. I tried running the game and hitting tab but don't see anything to change the memory.
Thanks

OK I came across this :
MESS often supports different RAM configurations for a single computer. To choose the configuration you want, you can use the -ramsize option at launch. A list of available ramsizes for each system is available in sysinfo.dat.
My question is how do I fix this so it goes back the way it was before the last update? Can I create a ini for the system or game?
Thanks

You can create a a800.ini containing one line
ramsize 48k
MAME has no option to change the ramsize in any menu (not that I could find).

My guess is that it's only emulating the first models now: https://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=460 > In fact the very first Atari 800 Computers were shipped with 8 or 16 KB memory, expandable to 48 KB. After initial release, the 800 came standard with 48 KB memory.
Somebody would have to either add the three official RAM configurations to the "Machine Configuration" option (if they're verified to really be official) or add support for RAM expansions in one of the computer's slots:

The required slot where the default RAM module is plugged in seems to be missing, though.

thanks!
i recently noticed, that most games i play on a800 driver became non-working (International Karate, Ninja, Into The Eagle's Nest, etc.).
with this a800.ini everything became playable again.
