I do hope this is the right forum, if not please move it to where it belongs.
I am running MAME undee a frontend called mGalaxy, not that that matters. as this problem arises running it straight off the desk top.
MAME works like a charm on many systems I use with it
However if I try to run Apple IIGS, Mega Duck, GameMate, or Tomy Tutor I get this error message.
(LUA ERROR) in run: plugins\boot.lua:11: a
attempt to index a function value (Field options)
Can someone tell me what is happening, and what I need to do to fix it ?

You’ve probably updated MAME without updating the included plugins or vice versa. You generally need to keep MAME in sync with the Lua plugins, bgfx shaders, etc. or bad things happen.
