Help identifying a 90s fighting game

My boss is trying to remember a side scrolling fighting game from the 90s that is likely Street Fighter or something very similar.
There was a character that threw a GREEN energy ball and would yell Lechuga! which means Lettuce in Spanish.
I am guessing this may have been a trick with Ryu’s blue energy ball and yelling Hadouken! Or a Spanish bootleg?
Failing sound chip and damaged speakers?
Anyone hear of such a game? Toasty!

need more details, I wouldn't describe Street Fighter as 'Side Scrolling', as 'Side Scrolling' usually means something more like Streets of Rage.

Ahh, true, I was thinking semi 2D side view.
Unfortunately that is all I have for details. I suspect it was a miss hearing of Ryu’s. battlecry. I know next to nothing about the fighter games at least until Soul Caliber came along.

Well it's a huge genre (maybe the largest of all the arcade genres) so it's entirely possible the game exists, but you may as well be asking for an 80s game with a maze and assuming it's Pacman.
