#392246 - 10/23/21 06:53 PM

I have latest mame version both Ui on my desktop pc and non-ui/command line in my arcade cabinet. Using the SAME FOLDER with the SAME SNAPS, in the same path (c:\mame\snap) on the UI i can see the snapshots preview, in the command line\non ui they won't appear i have no image available in the right side of the screen. any help?

Did you set the correct path in the ui.ini file for the command line version?

It works perfectly for me here; as MooglyGuy wrote you check the mame.ini file; in mine for example there is a simple:

Code:

#
# CORE OUTPUT DIRECTORY OPTIONS
#
cfg_directory cfg
nvram_directory nvram
input_directory inp
state_directory sta
snapshot_directory F:\MAME_Extras\snap

The only peculiarity is that in the indicated folder there are all the sub-folders with the names of the software lists and a still called "snap" with all the snaps of the MAME machines.

Put the png files in "C:\MAME\snap\snap" but in the ini file write "C:\MAME\snap".

Maybe try just one directory you know the snaps reside instead of multiple? I'm pretty sure the directory entries expect a single entry. The "path" ones above in the .ini can use multiple AFAIK.

Barring that, try using the "/" slash instead of "\" and see if that makes a difference.

Beyond that, no ideas
