Welcome back... again. 
Work's got me mentally drained this year... it's gotten harder to "turn off work mode" in my head. Need to get that working again, so I can get going on stuff here... sooooo far behind.
Check out the last update... some things (like marquees) can be vector elements now (in SVG format, as long as they are in single layer).
And Space Harrier, from update before that... one of my fave marquees.

Heh. While backdrop pieces were possible to support in early era of MAME, Aaron’s video rendering output
rewrite back in summer 2006 was what was really needed in order to better support bezels and marquees.
You were just getting a jump start with Atari Flyball marquee etc before Aaron did the rewrite.
btw Atari Flyball now has analog audio (via net list work) now audible.
