Mr. Do that works on a cocktail cabinet?

I'm trying to run my old favorite game Mr. Do on a Mame cocktail cabinet I'm building out, and when I set the dip switch to cocktail table the Player 2 screen is jumbled and unplayable. Does anyone know if there's a working Mr. Do cocktail rom?
I'm running Mame version 0.188 on Linux.
Thanks for any help.

Have you tried a newer version of MAME to see if the issue still occurs?

Indeed wrybread, try the latest MAME (0.224).
Mr. Do! in Cocktail mode, including Player 2's turn, works perfectly. No garbled graphics.
